Moon Festival Celebration

Tonight we celebrated the Moon Festival with the Shelby FCC.
We had such a wonderful time!
The actual day of the Moon Festival is September 25th of this year.
(We decided to party early.)
This is a Chinese holiday to celebrate the end of the harvest.
Families and friends gather for a feast and eat moon cakes.
They say the moon is the fullest on this day.
We followed some of this tradition.
We ate Chinese at China First and then headed to the park for some fun!
The girls walked around the park with lanterns and then ate moon pies.
It was such a delight to see the girls play and run with their lanterns!
It was beautiful!
I am so thankful for all of our friends!
Thank you to the Youngs, Curries, and Robinsons!
It was so much fun watching our girls play together!
This is Xiao.

(I am not sure that is how she spells her name.)

She works at our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant.

She is always very kind to HG.

Greg was very creative with this picture.
He was able to get us and the moon all together.

Hey! We had fun Friday night too. Let's just go play at the park one Friday night for no special reason when HG gets used to not having those hard pants. What a sweet, sweet little girl you have.
