Fun Day!

Friday, we took Hannah Grace to the Galleria.
We had the best time!
She enjoyed the carousel, trying on clothes, and Build A Bear.
We are so thankful that she is no longer wearing "hard pants."

I haven't been able to post pictures because something was wrong with our computer.
Greg stayed up late last night working with it, so NOW we have pics!!!!
We are so thankful for all of your prayers and sweet e-mails!
HG is doing very well!
She is walking with us holding her hands.
Each day she improves so much!
She can stand by herself (without holding on to anything).
We are so thankful to our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness!

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!

WOW!!! HG's daddy is ready. Ready for those hard pants to say bye-bye.
What an awesome child. In three months, she never complains.
She just keeps going and going! God has truly blessed us!
Stephanie has been wonderful throughout this time. I am ready
as much for her as I am for HG. The time has flown by and I cannot
believe that it is almost here. Thank you to everyone for your
support and prayers throughout this time. In just a few days HG
will be running and jumping like all of this never happened.
Praise the Lord!!!

Only 4 more days and we are FREE of hard pants!!!
Praise the LORD!!!!
Everyone watch out, because our girl is going to be ALL over the place!

Moon Festival Celebration

Tonight we celebrated the Moon Festival with the Shelby FCC.
We had such a wonderful time!
The actual day of the Moon Festival is September 25th of this year.
(We decided to party early.)
This is a Chinese holiday to celebrate the end of the harvest.
Families and friends gather for a feast and eat moon cakes.
They say the moon is the fullest on this day.
We followed some of this tradition.
We ate Chinese at China First and then headed to the park for some fun!
The girls walked around the park with lanterns and then ate moon pies.
It was such a delight to see the girls play and run with their lanterns!
It was beautiful!
I am so thankful for all of our friends!
Thank you to the Youngs, Curries, and Robinsons!
It was so much fun watching our girls play together!
This is Xiao.

(I am not sure that is how she spells her name.)

She works at our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant.

She is always very kind to HG.

Greg was very creative with this picture.
He was able to get us and the moon all together.

Wonderful Thoughts

You See What?
Tell me ... what do you see when you look at this child?

A tragedy of misfortune? A life defiled?

Do you see the mountains which this wheelchair can't climb?

This 'chair as a prison, whose walls are "time"?

Do you see a handicap, a body that won't work?

Failure, lost potential, nature's joke gone berserk?

Do you visualize very clearly the bills stacked so high,

While hopes are all dashed, so there's no reason to try?

Give me your answer; work it out in your mind,

And I'll prove you could not possibly be any more blind!

"How can you say that?" you demand like I'm wild ...
Because you looked at your fears, and not at the child!

Let me tell you what I see, right from the start

When I look at this child through the eyes of my heart ...

I see a child who rides horses, goes swimming, and laughs,

Who loves the zoo, and watching giraffes!

I see a daughter who thinks she's the "Belle of the Ball",

A good student, a friend who likes going to the mall.

Or a son who likes frogs, and puppies, and jokes,

But hates all homework, and lectures from his folks.

I see, not a heartache, nor embarrassment, nor trouble,

But a CHILD, with a LIFE, who has FUN on the double ...

A person of stature, even while sitting down,A hope for tomorrow, a SMILE, not a frown.

I see a CHILD, not a condition,

one of God's works of art,

And you'll see it, too, when you look with your heart!

I read this poem on the Ferrill's Blog! It is so WONDERFUL! I just cry every time I read it!

The words are so true!

******* 7 DAYS *******

Bubble Bath!!!
Always a favorite!
We only have 7 days left with the hard pants!
The bubble bath was great fun for us both!!!
Washing her hair

Rinsing Off

HG does not ususally like rinsing off, but tonight was different.

Before she realized it, she had poured a cup of water over her head.

No tears, though! Just having too much fun!

Less than 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hallelujah!!!!!!
We are so excited to announce that the Hard Pants will be removed on September 26th!
We are overflowing with JOY!
The past 9 weeks have really passed faster than expected.
Hannah Grace has been so strong.
She has taught us to endure difficult situations without complaining.
She has been full of joy through this whole experience!
She has such a beautiful spirit!
I am richly blessed to be her mother!

Cute Pics

The following pictures are why we have the camera ever ready!
Hannah Grace gives us so many great opportunities to take pictures!
Gimme some CHOCOLATE!
Can you tell that she likes chocolate?

Relaxing with Maggie

HG's leg is propped on Maggie's back.

We really have some patient dogs!

The other day I was cleaning the house. I heard the dogs barking.

Then I heard a loud thud and then another.

The dogs were barking uncontrollably.

I thought someone was walking on our porch.

I walk into the foyer to find this...

Yes, it was her right leg making the loud thud.

She is not letting these hard pants slow her down!

A Day at the Park

We had such a beautiful day to go to the park!
It was a lot of fun!
HG's favorite part was feeding the ducks!
She loves animals!
Let me explain.

There is a bottle in the middle of the ducks.

HG saw a "big fish" swim by and it scared her.

She jumped and the bottle went into the water.

It was very funny!

I guess you had to be there.

Fun for HG, not so much for NaNa!

I couldn't understand why NaNa was so dizzy, until it was my turn.

OH MY GOODNESS!

I never felt that dizzy when I was in the 4th grade! What has happened?

Oh... that was only 23 years ago!

Riding the horse is a better speed for NaNa and Mommy!

Grandaddy's 84th Birthday

Grandaddy and the boys!
Grandaddy turned 84 on Sept. 5th!
He is such a wonderful, wise man!
Grandaddy and the Pinata

Sorry about the blur!

It is the only one we were able to take.

My Grandaddy loves to play with his great grandchildren.

This brought him a lot of joy!

HG slept through the beating of the Pinata.

When she awakened, she saw the horse's leg filled with candy.

She said,"Poor horsey."

I guess we will not have a Pinata at her parties in the future.

Jackson and the Pinata

How many Alabama fans does it take to slide down a slide? LOL!

I was just trying to be funny!

Everyone wanted to help HG down the slide!

We are very blessed to have our family help with HG!

Everyone has been so wonderful that I cannot express my appreciation in words!

The Lord has been so good to us!

Sliding is sooooo much fun!!!!

Playing with Daddy

Fun with NaNa and PaPa

PaPa and his "Honey Bun"
Eating watermelon!

HG's Favorite (after chocolate, of course)

Playing with Play-Doh

Please do not be alarmed about the multiple band-aids!

HG loves them and NaNa keeps her happy!

HG's TuTu

Since Hannah Grace could not twirl around in her tutu, we decided to take silly pictures!
It is always fun to wear funny things on your head!
Strike a Pose!
