Greg as a Youth Minister
I am a Youth Minister at Community Baptist Church in Maylene, Alabama. That is me (Greg) on the back row wearing the Alabama shirt (Roll Tide!!!!). We just finished playing broomball. That's where you play hockey in tennis shoes on ice and everyone has a broom and you use a ball instead of a puck. It was awesome!!!! I love working with youth. I am a 5th grade teacher at Thompson Intermediate School. God has really blessed me by giving me the opportunity to work with kids on a daily basis. I love to have a good time and teaching kids about God. It is the most important thing that they will ever learn in their life. I pray that every kid that I come in contact with, that I will have a positive influence on them and that they will always know that I love them, no matter what.

Where in the world is Hannah Grace?
I thought it would be nice for everyone to see where Hannah Grace lives. She lives in Guiyang (pronounced "Gway-yahng"). It is located in the Guizhou (pronounced "Gway-joe") Province.
It is very unique. There are many minority cultures in Guizhou. The people of this area are fond of music, singing, and dancing. They are well known for their beautiful fabrics, batiks, and embroidery.
I must also mention that Guiyang has a Wal-Mart. Anyone who knows me is aware that this is a VERY BIG deal! :)

Ladybug Quilt
The Origin of Our Blog's Title
It was rather hard to come up with a title. Greg was asleep, so I was on my own to brainstorm. I tried to find something that represented our family and this amazing journey.
Last year, Greg wrote a beautiful poem for Hannah Grace. It still makes me cry everytime I read it! I thought the title of the poem would be perfect! (I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband!)
Chinese Treasures
It all began on one wonderful summer day,
When your Mommy and I began to pray.
We prayed that God's Will would be done,
And that He would bless us with a little one.
Then God told us we would get a baby girl,
A precious one from the other side of the world.
I think about you and pray for you every single day,
Even though you are so far away.
No matter how far you are, you are still close to my heart,
And it won't be long until we are no longer apart.
When that time comes, what a day that will be,
I will be so excited, my Hannah Grace I shall see.
You will be loved so much by me, no one could ever measure,
My precious Daddy's girl, my little Chinese Treasure.
Love, Daddy
